The Red Ensign is an internationally recognised flag and Gibraltar is a Category 1 Red Ensign Group Register.
A vessel registered at a British Port and flying the Red Ensign automatically acquires the assistance of any of the many British Embassy's around the world should she ever encounter any difficulties, certainly adds that little bit more comfort and security whilst you sail around the world!
